Less is more ... rather than overwhelming you with volumes of travel tips, here is a specific list of exclusive recommendations with Mr & Mrs Crystal's stamp of approval.

insider tips

  • Visit in the summer months, otherwise you will find that most of the island and clubs (other than Pacha) will be closed.
  • Take a speed ferry to the chilled island of Formentera for a day of quality beach action.
  • Hire a self-contained villa, complete with massages, yoga instructor, caterers and party organisers and let the party come to you!
  • Check out some of the island’s best beaches in your wheels, including Las Salinas, Cala Salada and Cala Jongal.
  • A car hire is a must because taxis are scarce. Be warned – the roads are dark at night and the island is not as small as you may think.

what we think

It goes without saying that Ibiza is a paradise for party-goers (yes, the famous clubs still rock!) but in recent times this island has evolved to become a destination of luxury and relaxation as well. Ibiza is blessed with a Mediterranean climate with warm winter sunshine and a legendary 300 sun-drenched days a year. Days may involve unwinding beside your lavish villa’s pool or soaking up the atmosphere at one of the trendy beach clubs. A day trip to Ibiza’s boho-chic sister island Formentera should not be missed. Ibiza draws its fair share of supermodels, rock stars and others who come to party and be seen, and just as many travel hedonists seeking secluded bliss.
