Hotel Josef

Hotel Joself is a luxury boutique hotel designed around a magnificent central courtyard. It is conveniently located in Josefov, close to the Old Town Square and the Jewish Quarter, ideal for exploring the city. Every inch of the hotel is uniquely designed and, given the abundant use of glass, limestone and chrome, the result is sleek. The rooms are comfortable and cosy, which is especially important during Prague’s colder months. Breakfast is exceptional and will make you want to crawl back to your room to the comforts of the soft bed linen, warm bathroom floors, Aveda products and fluffy bath towels … making it difficult for you to leave again.

The Augustine

This plush Rocco Forte hotel located in Mala Strana overlooking Prague Castle was once a 14th century monastery. The interior has a quintessentially boho modern vibe but maintains a sense of history – expect vaulted doors, marbled bathrooms and frescoed ceilings. The hotel’s ancestry is further acknowledged with the Brewery Bar menu designed to compliment the original beer brewed by the Augustinian monks and the spa treatments with pre-massage beer hop exfoliation. Most impressive, however, are the 360-degree views from the Tower Suite, a three-story penthouse that once served as the monastery's observatory. The Augustine is the kind of hotel we’ve been praying for.

what we think

Prague is the original bohemia and has been a strong focus of the recent rhapsody of Eastern Europe. It is rich in history but has an undeniable youthful buzz. From its chic boutique hotels, loungey cocktail bars and modern restaurants, this city is a hedonist hub. Charles Bridge captivates and creaks under the weight of visitors and the medieval Castle is even more inspiring in real life than in the many guidebooks which promote it. Prague has a magical aura, like a history lesson coming alive.
